Yesterday was like going through a living nightmare of pain.
I had - not one, but TWO booster jabs.
And worse, it wasn't done where I had heard they would do it (my bum) - they injected it right into my thighs! I was surprised, shocked, and outraged.
I never felt anything that hurt so badly in my life... I couldn't stop screaming. Daddy and Mummy were very anxious and looked so heart-pained to hear me crying. And after the horrible ordeal was over, they tried their best to comfort and pacify me. But the aching pain remained in my two legs, and even though the nurses put two small, cutely round plasters over my places of hurt, it was still totally uncomfortable and sore and - *sniff* - painful.
I cried and cried the whole afternoon even after we got home. By the time Daddy came home in the evening and took over carrying me, I was so exhausted and finally dozed off when he held me very snugly to him.
Later when I woke up, we were already in Por Por Kim's house for dinner. Mummy brought me to the table to sit with the family after eating. I tried to forget the pain and doze off. I dimly recall Shu shu David was giving the rest a lesson on playing this huge stringed instrument that was larger than me. I think they called it a guitar or something.
Daddy and Mummy brought me home soon after that to rest properly in bed.
This morning, it still hurts now, though not as bad as yesterday. Boy, I don't ever want to get near those fat needles againnn!!!

25 May 09 - My One-Month Celebration
I finally understand why Por Por Susan and Por Por Kim always talk about 'getting old.' My aunties and uncles can hardly believe that I'm already one and a half months old, and they keep exclaiming that I'm bigger every time they see me.
Last week, Mummy and Daddy threw a party just for me! They called it the One-Month Celebration. There were tons of eggs, people, and presents. In the morning before everyone came, I was actually so nervous that I cried the whole time. Mummy was getting pretty burnt out trying to do all the last minute preps in between taking care of me, but I only felt safe when someone was carrying me, so I refused to let her put me down.
Then a short while after lunch, gu-gus Kim and Em popped into the house, and gu-gu Em took over carrying me. She rocked me around and I finally dozed off, oblivious to the already arriving guests. When I finally woke up, it was to such a rackus!! There were strangers standing by my bedside, talking about my hair, scrutinizing the way I slept with my hand tucked under my head, and generally making lots of comments about me that normal adults do not make to other adults. It made me feel so...baby.
Gu-gu Em came in to the room and brought me out, telling me that the guests wanted to see the Princess of the Day. Mummy and Daddy were beaming with pride, and everyone wanted to carry me, from youngest to oldest..
Mummy, Daddy, and me! Can you see the glow on their faces? =>
Our family pic, framed up for everyone to see...
Mummy's piano is totally covered with presents for me - everyone was so thoughtful and generous!
The guests totally enjoyed the fellowship and the Food. (Spot my bottle?)
More yummy looking tarts..
Some of my friends who dropped by...Chloe, with her Mummy Wendy
Christina, Mummy's friend and ex-colleague, brought her son to visit me too!
Jie-jie Deborah was delighted to carry me even though I was just about knocked out from the formula.
The rest of the kids wanted to carry me too, but they're wayyy too young! We had some fun playing before I fell asleep, though.

Daddy's zerp zerp camera took lots of pictures, so here they are for your viewing.
The painted red eggs and One-Month cake that is symbolic of I-don't-know-what for this celebration..
That's me! And that's my delicious-looking oreo cheese-cake which Mummy wouldn't allow me to eat.. *sniff*

22 May 09 - Sleeping Beauty!
The other night before my One-Month celebration, my gugu and shu-shus came over to help get the house ready. I was sleeping soundly on Mummy and Daddy's bed in the comfy aircon room, so I had no idea what was going on outside.
It wasn't until a while later that I realized my two gu-gus were calling my name, and when I opened my eyes a little, the two of them were beside me taking pics and cuddling me. They kept saying I looked so adorable when I sleep like this >>>
I don't know...I just sleep in whichever position that is most comfortable, but this one is definitely my favorite!
Gu-gu Em wanted to take some pics with me...
and Gu-gu Kim too... Hurry get off me, you aunties are heavy! Oopz..
*snore*
In other news, Daddy and Mummy want to bring me swimming this weekend! *happiness* They're afraid I'm a little too young, and they haven't bought any swimsuits for me yet, but it sounds like such a fun idea... maybe soon I'll be a diver like Daddy!!! (If Mummy allows, of course).
Oh, and I went to the park the other day too, with Mummy, Daddy, my Por-por, and aunties and uncles. My aunties and uncles went blading with Daddy, and I waited with Mummy at the Hong Kong cafe @ ECP. But I was a little fussy that night, though. I think I might have stressed Mummy out quite a bit, because I kept crying and all, even when she gave me food. I'm not sure why also...maybe I was just too tired? Anyway, I'll try to be a better girl next time, Mummy. I promise!
More next time..it's back to bed for now. Nitez!~

...in dreamland...
...I heard someone call me "Sleeping Beauty"...

7 May 09 ~ Peek-chers finally!
I know they are long overdue, but I just managed to get some of the pics that Daddy uploaded on Facebook last night before going to bed. Here they are for your viewing...hope you like them! =>

Here me is!
My first "face-to-face meeting" with Mummy & Daddy at Mt Alvernia
Mummy and me... See my coolly styled hair? Courtesy of Daddy!
Gu-Gu Em was my playmate for 3/4 of the evening, when they came to visit. She said I was addictive. (I thought "addictive" only applied to drugs?)
Our first official Family Picture ~~ Me loves my pink-white striped suit!
Gu-Gu Em and Shu-Shu Tom were so thrilled to carry me, even though I was falling asleep!
Shu-Shu Tom wanted a personal pic with me too. He was like a gentle giant, and I found his ears quite intriguing...
More in awhile.... XOXO
